The band members' activities involved more than just playing music. Patman brought a PA system into the fold, and the band invested in colored lights and a fog machine. We used these to make money by renting them out to other bands. Usually, they wanted a PA system and someone to run it. We would throw in the other stuff and make a really good show for them. We also sponsored some parties and occasionally provided music soundtracks for a local dance group.

This proved to be advantageous in many ways. We got a small fee for our services, plus we got to meet a band who might ask us to play a show with them in the future. Aside from that, our duties doing sound meant we got intimate with a lot of club owners and employees. Many of them proved to be key contacts for us in the future.

This is the business card I designed for Patman and myself to use when we first set up shop in Orlando, Florida. Rather than simply use the band name for our ventures, we decided to form ViewScape Productions as the umbrella for all our activities. Although simple in design, it proved to be a very eye-catching design, and we often got compliments on it. This card was passed out to virtually anyone who would take one from us for a number of years until we moved to Atlanta.
